This first-of-its-kind capability for Newegg offers more payment options for card members
NEW YORK, April 14, 2016 -- American Express and Newegg, the largest tech-focused e-commerce platform in the US, today announced the launch of a new technology integration that enables US card members enrolled in the Membership Rewards program to use points for online purchases on Newegg.com. Card members can use their Membership Rewards points at checkout, directly in the payment flow on Newegg.com, for all or part of their purchase.

Using points online on Newegg.com is easy:
– Open "My Shopping Cart" and proceed through the checkout process– – Enter an eligible American Express Card enrolled in the Membership Rewards program in the payment flow or use Amex Express Checkout with an eligible card – Select Check Points Balance to see your available points balance and the equivalent dollar value and designate how many points to use for all or part of your purchase – Confirm and place your order
Card members shopping on Newegg.com can already use Amex Express Checkout, the fast and secure way to check out online quickly by using their americanexpress.com user ID and password. With Amex Express Checkout, card members simply use their existing Amex login, and Amex auto-fills the checkout fields with their payment details and relevant account information. Newegg was one of the first merchants to implement the digital technology when Amex Express Checkout launched in 2015.
The Membership Rewards program from American Express offers more than a million rewards from more than 500 brands. The program allows card members to earn one point for virtually every dollar charged on eligible, enrolled American Express Cards, with many opportunities to earn points faster. Membership Rewards points are redeemable in a wide selection of reward categories. Points have no expiration date, and there is no limit on the number of points a card member can earn.
