Businesses today are going digital, and American Express is at the forefront of digital innovation, helping companies to streamline their payments systems and simplify their processes, said Greg Keeley, Executive Vice President, Global Corporate Payments, American Express. We continue to invest and expand digital offerings for our corporate customers in ways that maximize security and enhance the user experience.
As businesses adopt digital technology into the corporate workflow, oftentimes security breaches are a huge cause for concern. While American Express has exceptional security measures in place for their issued credit cards, physical cards are still vulnerable to traditional fraudster activity and name identity theft. Employers may find that business transactions completed with a Corporate Amex Apple Pay account could potentially be more secure for both the Employee and Employer.
When you add a Card to Apple Pay, the actual Card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers.
Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
From a Corporate Human Resources perspective, corporate membership access can be can activated or disable on Apple Pay for American Express Corporate Accounts in live time. When an employee is on leave of absence or they have just experienced a Donald Trump you’re fired moment in the boardroom, this security feature can alleviate the friction associated with disgruntled employees looking to make unapproved purchases at the expense of the company.
