The Citi Tech for Integrity (T4I) Challenge is an open innovation competition to source solutions to promote integrity, accountability and transparency in the public sector. The T4I Challenge is structured as a global accelerator competition with a robust curriculum and mentorship support to help participants at every step of the program. Citi is looking for participants to reimagine ways to help public and private organizations in their fight for greater transparency, security and integrity across crowdsourced critical pain points.
Led by Citi in collaboration with its strategic Allies – LetsTalkPayments.com (LTP), IBM, Microsoft, Mastercard, Facebook, Clifford Chance, PwC and others – T4I offers a unique opportunity for startups and companies working within the realm of financial transactions, cyber security, big data, mobile communications, biometrics, mobile transactions, IoT, aid distribution, and cryptocurrency, to name a few, to gain exposure to governments, senior executives from multiple institutions, and a vast network of investors, hundreds of financial institutions globally through LTP’s MEDICI platform. Moreover, the T4I Challenge is a doorway into potential partnerships with Citi’s strategic allies and its vast network of leading industry experts and partner companies.
City Tech for Integrity Challenge Awards
Selected T4I Challenge participants will enroll in a virtual accelerator program, which will provide mentoring, curriculum and infrastructure support to help them enhance their submissions. Finalists will showcase their solutions at one of six Demo Days in cities around the world, including Buenos Aires, Dublin, Hyderabad, Mexico City and Singapore in May and June. Due to the open nature of the competition, award recipients from the Demo Days will have the opportunity to work with any business, organization or government interested in exploring innovative integrity tools.
1+ finalist will go to a two-day workshop with senior executives and receive support for a commercial pilot
1 finalist/demo day will receive a $120k/1 year credit to IBM’s developer portal
1 finalist/demo day will receive Bizspark Plus memberships ($720k each)
1+ finalist could receive support from the Microsoft Developer Experience SV program to support GTM strategies
Select offers to be introduced to MS Ventures
1+ finalist will receive $50k to support a pilot(s)
1 finalist/region will receive mentorship for 1 year
Access to two-year incubator program and $10k in seed funding – for Nepal, Pakistan, Mali and Liberia finalists
1 finalist/demo day will receive 8 hours of legal advice
1+ finalist will receive guaranteed access into accelerator program
1+ finalist will receive UX design mentorship

1+ finalist will have access to MEDICI Live!, including mentorship and $250k in pre-committed investor $s
1+ finalist/demo day will receive a cash award
1+ finalist will go through additional validation processes to explore pilot opportunities
Up to 10 finalists will present to senior government officials in Nigeria post-demo day
Up to 10 finalists will present to senior government officials in Colombia post-demo day
Top 35 status to fast-track 1+ finalist from Mexico and India demo days into accelerator program
1+ LATAM finalist will be showcased at the October 2017 ATECH* Conference
Not only are Citi and its allies offering the above-mentioned invaluable benefits to the finalists, but also all participants will be granted certain perks upon entry to the Challenge. Citi T4I Challenge Participants will receive:Global participant access to Microsoft Bizspark, IBM Bluemix and starter kits, legal advice from Clifford Chance, and the FBStart developer program.
