Breaking News - The Money Event to Launch at Super Mobility Week 2014

BARCELONA, February 26, 2014 – CTIA-The Wireless Association® announced the launch of The Money Event at Super Mobility Week, demonstrating mobile innovations in money and commerce through an interactive conference, exhibit space and challenges. The Money Event will coincide with CTIA 2014™ and MobileCON as part of Super Mobility Week, September 9, 10 & 11 at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center.

Exploring the theme of Open Innovation in Commerce, The Money Event will feature three parallel tracks over two and a half days of presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations from some of the most successful experts in the mobile banking and commerce world. Super Mobility Week attendees will have complete access to this unprecedented global commerce experience, including The Money Pavilion on the show floor, featuring connected commerce companies. Before Super Mobility Week, from April to July, The Money Event will conduct Regional Money Challenges, similar to a traditional hackathon, around the world to highlight and encourage technology-driven disruptions in finance. Regional finalists will then compete against one another at Super Mobility Week in the Super Challenge.

Mobility is causing powerful disruptions in many industries, and the financial services and commerce sector is no exception. After successfully working with the founders of The Money Event at MobileCON last year, this enhanced partnership will offer Super Mobility Week attendees with a fully immersed connected commerce experience, said Robert Mesirow, CTIA vice president and show director.

Super Mobility Week provides The Money Event with the perfect backdrop to showcase the global and mobile nature of the industry today, bringing together innovation with industry know-how, said Andrew Borowiec, co-founder of The Money Event.

Carefully curated by industry veterans, The Money Event illustrates the fundamental changes happening through these technology-driven disruptions in the financial sector,' said Amit Goel of, which is the content and engagement platform for The Money Event.
