Flint Mobile and Leap Payments Collaborate for Mobile Payments Solution

On 3rd April 2014, Flint Mobile announced its collaboration with Leap Payments in a move that will see the latter establishment, ‘resell Flint’s mobile payment services. Leap says that it selected Flint's differentiated solution to give it the right combination of capabilities to win in the small business marketplace.

Flint was established in 2011 and headquartered in Redwood City, California. It is backed by investors such as Storm Ventures and True Ventures. They did a Series A round of $3 million from these VCs. Flint launched its mobile app on Apple’s iOS platform in November, 2012. With over 100,000 downloads so far and a 4+ rating at the app store based on customer reviews.

We have optimized for service verticals by uniquely bringing multiple payment use cases together in one simple app,' said Greg Goldfarb, CEO of Flint Mobile. 'Also, there has been tremendous adoption among the segments where Leap specializes,' he added.

Leap will promote Flint to three audiences:

  • New users that require mobile payment capabilities.
  • Existing merchant account users that need to extend their commerce capabilities to the field.
  • Merchants who might otherwise choose card reader-based mobile solutions.

Merchants can also take advantage of Leap Payments' seven-day free trial of its branded Flint Mobile solution for new users, where they can get approved and begin processing cards in less than 5 minutes.
