Ingenico Group and Paymium have teamed up to integrate Bitcoin payments on the TELIUM TETRA next-generation terminals. Being an open-source technology, Bitcoin is both a payment system and a universal digital currency. Tens of thousands of merchants already accept Bitcoin payments worldwide, enjoying the benefits of this inexpensive and efficient means of payment for online transactions.
The new payment applications catalog developed by Ingenico Group, the Telium Tetra Marketplace, now hosts the Paymium app. This app is available on Ingenico’s new range of payment terminals for retailers.
Gonzague Grandval, Paymium co-founder, said in an official press release: “By partnering with Ingenico Group, worldwide leader in seamless payment, Paymium reaches a new milestone in the development of Bitcoin. We now allow any European merchant to simply accept payments using the Bitcoin network without risk, since transactions collected in bitcoins are immediately converted to Euros.”
Michel Léger, EVP Global Sales and Marketing at Ingenico Group, said in an official press release: “We are very pleased to partner with Paymium to enrich our dedicated Business Applications Marketplace. This allows us to bring more value to merchants through our terminals, enabling them to offer their customers a new consumer experience.”
