MEDICI Top 21 – InsurTech Awards: Scouting for Emerging Disruptors in the Insurance Industry

MEDICIGlobal Head of Content

More than 1,200 InsurTech startups across the globe are taking one of the most complex and massive industries historically by storm. In the US insurance industry alone, net premiums written totaled $1.2 trillion in 2017, with premiums recorded by life/health insurers accounting for 52%, and premiums by property/casualty insurers accounting for 48%. In 2016, insurance carriers and related activities contributed $507.7 billion, or 2.7%, of the US GDP.

To identify the most innovative emerging players in the InsurTech space, MEDICI and EY – as the official partner and sponsor – are proud to launch an international hunt for the world’s up-and-coming disruptors in the insurance industry. MEDICI Top 21 – InsurTech Awards continues the series of awards run by MEDICI and its partners that have seen a tremendous success in cross-segment chapters: MEDICI Top 21 – AI Awards and MEDICI Top 21 – Blockchain Awards.

MEDICI Top 21 – InsurTech Awards is the second collaborative engagement on Top 21 Awards between MEDICI and EY. Previously, EY has also been the official partner of the latest Top 21 Awards finalized in July 2018 – MEDICI Top 21 – RegTech Awards.
