1. Telecompaper - VeriFone deploys NFC multimedia payment devices at GNC

VeriFone Systems has been selected by GNC as a partner in its payment network upgrade. GNC is a specialty retailer of health, wellness and sports nutrition products. GNC will deploy VeriFone's NFC-enabled multimedia payment device, at more than 3100 of its US retail locations. The payment device will also enable GNC to launch future services such as EMV payments and point of sale customer marketing.

2. Iamwire - Paytm to foray into online retail via mobile app

One97 Communications, a New Delhi based mobile internet company will soon foray into online retail via a mobile market app, reports ET. The company plans to go live by the month’s end, offering apparel for men, women and kids; home decor deals and accessories. The new launch will replace the company’s existing Paytm app with the mobile market app, while retaining the name.
