Recently, a Fake GiveForward campaign was launched by a Maryland dad who scammed his friends and family by raising funds for son's heart surgery online. It turned out however that not only was his son was perfectly healthy, the dad in question had not paid child support in years. He collected nearly $11,000. GiveForward says that it has since, refunded all of the people who donated online.
