ROAM Collaborates with EVO Payments International to Extend mPOS Solution

Using handheld devices such as Smartphones and Tablets as POS, is gaining popularity with each passing day. The main reason behind the rise in popularity of Mpos is that it provides convenience to the users, and an opportunity for merchants to accept card payments. On 8th April 2014, ROAM announced that EVO Payments International will utilize their platform to extend its full range of electronic payment service offerings to include mPOS.

Founded in 1989 and based in New York, EVO offers a variety of innovative products and solutions. It is one of the largest fully integrated merchant acquirer and payment processors in the world, processing in around 50 markets and 120 currencies.

What this collaboration means:

  • EVO will provide its large U.S. customer base of more than 300,000 merchants with ROAM’s advanced mPOS solutions.
  • This includes the G5X mobile card reader and ROAMpay X4 mPOS application.
  • EVO will also utilize the advanced security and management capabilities of ROAM’s mobile payments engine.
  • This new fully branded solution is now available to all of EVO’s U.S. users.

B efore selecting ROAM as one of EVO’s mPOS partners, we had several must-have criteria in mind, including seamless integration capabilities, advanced security features, and the flexibility to customize and brand the full solution, said EVO’s Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Lambrix. During our evaluation it became clear that ROAM’s solution meets these criteria and complements our sophisticated platform, he added.
